Paris

We left thr apartment at seven and it was still dark, to make the walk up the hill to the train station. The heavy rain that had been falling on and off all night held off long enough for us to make it to the station. The train left five minutes late which is a little unusual but not worrying. There was just a few people in our car until the last stop at Avignon. It then filled up. There were several delay stops for unknown reasons. No conductor came through to check anyone's tickets. The Gare de Lyon station in Paris was packed with people. Some of this was out of the norm and we found out why later. The train union had called an impromptu work stoppage on certain routes.

When I passed through Shepherdstown, WV on the scooter earlier in the this year and spent the night with our good friends Scott and Alan and they found we were going to Paris they bought tickets to meet us there. They rented the apartment across the landing from us and were there for our arrival.

We spent the next five days together walking Paris, visiting a few museums, and eating some great food. A good time was had by all.

I needed another two weeks but it was time to go home.

Alan and I started every morning getting fresh crosuents

Maybe it is because parents are not allowed in the schools to work or volunteer.

that is all made from chocolate

dogs are welcome everywhere in France. Of course, like their children, they
are well behaved. So we were a little surprised to find the "dog park"

this location for a photo shot  of his new novel.. It is the most expensive cup of coffee I have ever bought!!
