It seems as though our country is rapidly working towards becoming a rich third world banana republic.
We have a leader that would rather divide than unit. A governing body that would rather act like a dysfunctional reality show and pander for more likes on their twitter accounts than govern. A country that is being sold to the highest bidder. The rich are getting richer and the poorer are getting poorer. In the end I expect the model to break. "Corporations are people too" says our highest court allowing them to buy whatever and whomever they want. But I have never seen a corporation serving time in jail.
We witnessed and got first hand accounts of how great socialized medicine works for all. Not the quote I always hear "I have a friend who has a friend.....". Only in the USA is someones life dealt with in a dollar amount.
One of the great things about travel are the people you meet. NEVER have I encounted any of the stories of "they were rude" or "they hate us". I think the people who believe that is because they are the ones that that are rude and hate.
Our friend Rosie has traveled the world solo as a women. Last year she traveled Pakistan as a solo women. The kindness she found is amazing. I have plenty more stories from traveling friends just like hers. Watch and believe.
